Vijay Sethupathi, whose ‘Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum’ has hit the screens today, has started shooting for his next venture- ‘Aandavan Kattalai’ directed by Manikandan of ‘Kaaka Muttai’ fame.

Ritika Singh, who shot to fame with ‘Irudhi Suttru’, is the heroine of the movie. Unlike ‘Kaaka Muttai’, this one will be loaded with comedy, the director said, adding that however it would not be a full-lengthy humour subject.

“The film will be quirky and away from regular cinema,” he added. Financier turned producer Madurai Anbucheziyan is bankrolling ‘Aandavan Kattalai’ under his Gopuram Films banner. Young composer K scores the music.

According to sources, Ritika’s role in this movie will be a straight contrast to the one she had played in ‘Irudhi Suttru’. In ‘Aandavan Kattalai’, she will be seen as a suave city-based working professional, it is learnt. Sources added that Manikandan was awestruck by Ritika’s performance after watching ‘Irudhi Suttru’ and hence roped her in for his next film.
