Director Vijay’s upcoming film, which has Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah and Sonu Sood in lead roles, has been titled ‘Kaantha’.
Tipped to be a horror thriller, the movie has been titled as Kaantha, which is Tamannaah’s character name.

The name Kaantha was made popular by late acting legend M R Radha in the movie ‘Raththa Kanneer’. “Since it carries immense title value and it also fits the script, the film has been named so,” sources said.

In this flick, Vijay is being supported by director of photography Manush Nandan who had hit the National head lines with his work in Sharukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’.

The film is produced by Dr Ganesh for Prabhu Deva Studios and Popcorn Entertainment of Mumbai. It has Sonu Sood in a very important role. The movie is a trilingual and it is being made simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. As of now both GV Prakash Kumar and Thaman are working on the songs of the film.

Produced by Prabhu Deva, the film’s Telugu version has been titled as Abhinetri while the Hindi version’s title will also be soon revealed by the team.
