Shankar’s ‘2.0’ progressing despite heat waves

Shankar’s ‘2.0’
Director Shankar has been following a unique strategy to shoot his upcoming film ‘2.0’, which has Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.

“Since the film is being made in 3D, each and every scene is being shot by two cameras. Simultaneously, the visual effects team is matching the two outputs. The result is amazing so far,” sources said.

Despite the 45 degree celsius summer heat in New Delhi, the team is shooting there without any break for the past few weeks, it is to be noted. After the work is over in Delhi, the team will come back to Chennai for the third schedule, before leaving to foreign locations.

Amy, who has briefly shot for her portion in superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 over the last couple weeks, will join the sets again in May. The film marks the Tamil debut of Akshay Kumar, who will be seen as the antagonist.

Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman is scoring the music, while the dialogues, cinematography, editing and art direction are handled by Jeyamohan, Nirav Shah, Anthony and T Muthuraj respectively. Lyca Productions is bankrolling the movie in a grand budget.
