Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the most popular actor in the country with heavy fan-base in not just India but also in various parts of the world because of his unmatchable style, on-screen appearances and charisma.

It is over 45 years since the star entered into film industry. Rajini has acted over 160 films and he is one of the few heroes who actively worked in movies and retaining the superstar title for last five decades. Director K. Balachander introduced him in 'Apoorva Raagangal' released in 1975, in which Rajini made onscreen debut in a supporting role.

Even though 2020 marks the actor completing 45 years in the film industry, the excited fans are celebrating the occasion by trending the hashtag #5DecadesOfSuperstarRAJINI on Twiter to celebrate his stardom in their own ways by sharing posts with superstars pictures and videos.

One social media user wrote "Coolie - Conductor - Villain - Second hero - Hero - Star - SUPERSTAR - THALAIVAR, DEMIGOD. 70 வயதிலும் நம்பர் 1. யாரும் தொட முடியாத உச்சத்தில் இருக்கும் ஒரே நடிகர். The name is RAJINIKANTH Heart suit #5DecadesOfSuperstarRAJINI #Annaatthe #Rajini #Thalaivar" and shared a photograph of the superstar.

Another one, in their tweet, said that Rajinikanth is the only Indian actor, who has 'industry hits' in five consecutive decades.

Many others are also sharing lesser-known facts about the superstar. For instance, one social media user claimed, "@rajinikanth is also the only Indian actor to be featured in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus, in a lesson titled From Bus Conductor to Superstar #5DecadesOfSuperstarRAJINI."

Another tweet read, "@rajinikanth first performed the trick of tossing the cigarette up in the air to catch it with the lips in the bushes of his school, to prove to his seniors that he’s capable of joining their gang #5DecadesOfSuperstarRAJINI."

Rajinikanth was last seen in 'Darbar' earlier this year which was Directed by AR Murugadoss. His next outing 'Annaatthe' directed by Siva is bank-rolled by Sun Pictures. Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Kushboo, and Meena are playing the other vitak roles in the movie and planning to hit the screens during Pongal next year.
