Director AL Vijay and his wife Aishwarya have been blessed with a baby boy. AL Vijay and Aishwarya got married at a private wedding ceremony with few friends and family members, happened on July 11, 2019. It was an arranged marriage for AL Vijay who was earlier married to Amala Paul. Aishwarya is a doctor by profession.

The couple welcomed a baby boy in their family on Saturday morning at around 11:25 at a Chennai based private hospital. The news was announced on Twitter by several well-wishers of Vijay. Actor Udhaya, who is AL Vijay’s brother, shared the happy news on Twitter.

He was earlier married to actress Amala Paul. The duo fell in love with each other after working in a couple of films. In 2014, they made their relationship public and got married to each other. Three years later, their relationship hit a sour patch and they filed for divorce by mutual consent. AL Vijay and Amala Paul's divorce came through in 2017.

The director who gave movies like Madrasapattinam, Deiva Thirumagal, Thaandavam, Thalaiva and Devi is currently working on Jayalalithaa’s biopic titled, Thalaivi starring Kangana Ranaut.
