Director Gautham Menon and Suriya, the combo has given blockbuster hits 'Kaaka Kaaka' and 'Vaaranam Aayiram'. The cop thriller ‘Kaakha Kaakha’, which is a milestone and became a turning point in both their careers.

It's been more than a decade Menon and Suriya couldn't join for a project after Vaaranam Aayiram, though they tried for movie titled 'Dhruva Natchathiram', it couldn't happen due to difference of opinion between them. Suriya and Gautham Menon had not been in talking terms after Suriya opted out of Dhruva Natchathiram merely weeks before the shooting was set to begin. The Singam actor issued a press release that he tried to make the film happen, but couldn't go ahead with it. Later, Suriya said he could have sorted the issue in a different manner, but it was too late.

The latest buzz is that the duo is all set to reunite for their third film. The talented filmmaker confirmed the reports in a recent interview given to a popular YouTube channel. The movie is said to be a romantic drama, titled as 'Kamal & Kadambari: A Love Story', the name which was recently mentioned in the Gautham Menon directed short film Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn with STR and Simbu.

Director Gautham has mentioned that he narrated the subject to Suriya during these lockdown days, and the actor loved it. Even though nothing has been finalised yet, the filmmaker is planning to start working on the project once the lockdown comes to an end. The major portions of the movie will be short abroad, and the schedules need to be planned accordingly.

The filmmaker will soon team up with Kamal Haasan once again, for the much-awaited project Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu 2, the sequel of the investigation thriller Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. On the otherhand Gautham Menon is planning to helm a sequel to one of the most-loved films of his career, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. All the best for the director!
