Nayanthara's boy friend and director Vignesh Shivan is debuting as producer under his home banner Rowdy Pictures with film titled 'Netrikann' with Nayanthara as the main lead character. Called as Lady Superstar, Nayanthara did some action packed fight sequence in the film without having any body double.

'Netrikann' marks Nayanthara's 65 film, in which she plays a character of a blind woman. The film is a remake of the 2011 Korean film Blindfam. In the first look poster, the title’s font was written in Braille for the same reason. The film is being directed by Milind Rau, who rose to fame after his film Aval. Apparently, the film will have power-packed action sequences.

Recently the film’s editor, Lawrence Kishore, has revealed some interesting details about the film and Nayanthara’s role in it. He said that the film is high on action and the film will be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. He also revealed that 60% shooting of the film is over and fans will see different Nayanthara in the flick.

Nayanthara was last seen with superstar Rajinikanth's Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss. She also playing lead in a devotional film directed by RJ Balaji titled 'Mookuthi Amman'. She has also been roped in to play one of the four female leads in Rajinikanth’s next film Annaatthe, the other three female leads being Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu Sundar, and Meena. She will be seen playing the leading lady along with Samantha Akkineni in Vignesh Shivan directorial Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which has Vijay Sethupathi as the lead actor.
