Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in an interview said he is part of a Netflix film directed by a well known director.

Shanthanu Bhagyaraj was last seen on 'Vaanam Kottattum' directed by Dhana Sekaran produced by Mani Ratnam for Madras Talkies. With the lockdown for COVID 19, he has been staying home to maintain social distancing.

In this lockdown, the young talented actor, has become a director who scripted, directed, edited and performed in a short film along with his wife, VJ Keerthi. The homemade film titled 'Konjam Corona Naraiyya Kadhal' (Koconaka) is shot on iPhone and released on his YouTube channel. Shanthanu’s Short Film gets 1.6 million views on YouTube and widely appreciated by fans on social network.

Meantime, in a recent interview on his Instagram live chat session, actor Shanthanu has revealed that he has worked on a Netflix film. Shanthanu said that the film is directed by a famous direcor but did not disclose any further information on the same.

Netflix is expected to formally come up with an announcement on the film, which will be another interesting addition to the projects they are working on currently.

Netflix expands its investment in Indian content by commissioning ten new original films across various subjects and genres. The streaming giant announced last year that by the end of 2020, a total of 15 new original Indian films will be available to Netflix members around the world. Netflix has released over 200 original movies since 2015, and the quality has only gotten better over time.

Shanthanu will be seen next in Vijay starrer 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He also has 'Kasada Thapara' and 'Raavana Koottam' for release.
