Vijay's 66th film for 'Mersal' producer Thenandal Studios

'Bigil' was Thalapathy's last release and fans are awating his next release, the most anticipated movie of the year - 'Master', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The latest news update about the actor is that he could be joining hands with the Mersal producers for his 66th film.

According to reports in media, the CEO of Thenandal Studios Limited Hema Rukmani is preparing to team up with Vijay again after the success of their last outing. The action thriller entertanier 'Mersal' features Vijay in a triple role as a father and his two sons, and the film is reportedly grossed more than Rs 200 crore worldwide. But, the film was reported as a loss for the producer because of their financial problems. Now, Murali Ramasamy of Thenandal Studios Limited has confirmed in his recent interview.

Murali Ramaswamy the son of the legendary producer the late Ramanarayanan and the owner of Sri Thenanadal Studios has opened up for the first time about 'Mersal'. In an interview with a leading weekly, he has reiterated that the project was a profitable one. At the same time, he also shared that it was a huge learning curve for him and taught him how a producer should control the budget and not let it become a burden later.

Murali Ramasamy stated that he has spoken to the actor and is in constant contact with the Thuppakki star, even ten days ago the sensational star called him and reaffirmed for a project together in future. Thalapathy will be doing a film by Sun pictures as his 65th film. The makers of Mersal are looking forward to begin talks once Vijay finishes his 'Thalapathy 65' produced by Sun Pictures.
