Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh steps in to the world of cinema by debuting in Tamil film, 'Friendship'.

The first look poster of 'Friendship' was released yesterday evening, in which the cricketer-turned-actor shared the space with 'Bigg Boss' fame Losliya and Action King Arjun.

The 39-year-old has already worked in numerous advertisements but 'Friendship' is the first full-fledged film for the cricketer, which is directed by John Paul Raj of 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2' and Sham Surya, and has music by DM Udhayakumar. The movie also marks the entry of Sri Lankan based ex-news anchor Losliya in movies. She shot to fame after participating in Vijay TV's Bigg Boss Tamil season 3, hosted by Kamal Haasan.

A motion poster of the film released along with the poster shows various equations scribbled on a blackboard transforms to the first look poster and the final frame shows Harbhajan with a cricket ball. Friendship is touted to be a campus thriller film. Friendship also stars Arjun Sarja, who cuts a sharp figure in a tuxedo in the poster. Judging by the motion poster, the movie seems to revolve around a college, sports and advanced math problems.

Friendship is not the only Tamil film for Harbhajan, he is also playing a pivot role in upcoming Santhanam film, Dikkilona. It is not just Harbhajan, Another former Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan, too is set to make his debut in a Tamil film through Vikram starrer 'Cobra' directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.
