On Saturday, June 13, Chennai Police seized beer and liquor bottles from actress Ramya Krishnan's car at Kanathur.
According to reports, 96 beer bottles and 8 alcohol bottles were seized by Kanathur Police officials from actress Ramya Krishnan's Toyota Innova car.
The Kanathur Police officials were on a search operations on the vehicles coming towards Chennai. During the operation, police officials stopped Ramya Krishnan’s Innova car at Chenkalpet Muttukaadu Check Post.
Reports said Ramya Krishnan was accompanied with her sister Vinaya Krishnan in the Innova Crysta car number TN07Q 0099. Officers found at least 96 bottles of beer and 8 bottles of wine in the car. Liquors was apparently being transported from Mammalapuram to Chennai, news agency UNI reported.
Following the seize, the car’s driver Selvakumar, hailing from Abiramapuram, was arrested and a case was filed. With in few hours of enquiry at Kanathur police station, driver Selvakumar was later released on personal bail.
According to several reports, Ramya herself drove the car to the police station to bail her driver out of the custody. It is said that Ramya Krishnan had bought liquor from Pondicherry and was on her way back to Chennai when she was stopped by the officials.
On the career front, Ramya Krishnan was last seen in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s 'Super Deluxe'. She is awaiting the release of her upcoming film 'Party' directed by Venkat Prabhu.
