Actor Vikram who was last seen in Rajesh Selva's 'Kadaram Kondan', was busy shooting for 'Cobra' directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and Mani Ratnam's mega budget 'Ponniyin Selvan' before the COVID-19 lockdown. He is also awaiting release of 'Mahavir Karna', a ₹300 crore budget epic film, in which he plays mythological warrior Karna.

Meanwhile there is a latest development on Chiyaan's 60th project. Recently there were reports that Karthik Subbaraj is going to direct Vikram. Sources say Vikram's son Dhruv is playing another lead role along with his dad for 'Petta' director. Official announcement is expected soon or after the lockdown is lifted.

The untitled project tentatively called Chiyaan 60, will be bank rolled by Lalit Kumar under 'Seven Screen Studios' banner. The makers are now finalising the rest of the cast and crew. The movie is going to be a gangster drama happening in and around Chennai.

Reports say the Vikram listed to the script during his shoot for Iru Mugan in 2017, admired with the script, the sketch actor has now given green the light for the project.

Karthik Subbaraj's previous release was 'Petta' starring Superstar Rajinikanth, he also introduced Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Kollywood. The 'Jigarthanda' director is now waiting for the release of his upcoming film, 'Jagame Thandiram' starring Dhanush in the lead role along with James Cosmo of Game of Thrones fame, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George and others in important roles. Produced by Y Not Studios and Reliance entertainment, Cinematographer Shreyas Krishna and composer Santosh Narayanan form the technical crew.

Vikram recently completed shooting for his upcoming film, Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, in which he will be sporting 25 different looks. The film is said to be a sci-fi thriller.
