'Jagame Thandhiram' story is out; different from other gangster flicks, says Karthik Subbaraj

'Jagame Thanthiram' is going to be different from Dhanush's previous gangster movies, says Karthik Subburaj.

Actor Dhanush's 40th film directed by Karthik Subburaj titled 'Jagame Thanthiram' is ready for release and will release once the theatres are open after the lockdown.

Aishwarya Lekshmi is romancing Dhanush in the movie with Joju George and Kalaiyarasan playing supporting roles. It was reported earlier that the Dhanush plays a local gangster in Madurai who travels to London to finish some undone job.

Recently Hollywood star James Cosmo, who is known for his movies like 'Braveheart', 'Troy', 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion' and HBO Series 'Game of Thrones', outlined the story of 'Jagame Thanthiram' in an interview to a daily.

James Cosmo who will be playing a key role in Jagame Thandhiram, said, "The character I play is that of a powerful gangster in London. He employs the character played by Dhanush to fix the problems created by Indian gangs in London. During the course of this, he grows fond of Dhanush, which changes the whole dynamics of his gang. That's how the story moves forward."

The Karthik Subbaraj directorial had a first look motion picture featuring Dhanush in a never seen before look. Dhanush is simply acing his rugged gangster look. Produced by Sashikanth's Y Not Studios, 'Jagame Thandhiram' marks the first collaboration of Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj.

Karthik Subbaraj in an interview said, 'Jagame Thandhiram' will be completely different from the Dhanush’s previous gangster movies. “Jagame Thanthiram will be different from Dhanush's previous gangster dramas, and I was surprised at seeing the response that the motion poster got from fans who also spotted so many details in just the picture.,” he said.

Dhanush has handful of exciting movies in pipeline, which are going to be a treat for the fans. After 'Jagame Thandhiram', he has 'Karnan', directed by Mari Selvaraj. Dhanush has completed the shoot for the film. 'Atrangi Re', his next project in Hindi, under the direction of Aanand L Rai. After these films, he would start working on his film with director Karthick Naren (D43). He will also be doing a film under the production of Sun Pictures and this project is tentatively called D44.
