Madhavan, in his upcoming film 'Maara' paired with Shraddha Srinath once again after the successful 'Vikram Vedha' directed by Pushkar-Gayathri duo.

There were rumours for last few days that film shoot was affected by COVID-19 lockdown and it is only 50 percent complete. It was also reported that the makers will complete the rest of the shoot in a single schedule.

But the production house have denied the rumours. Promod Films who is bank-rolling the film clarified that they have wrapped up the shoot and only post-production work is pending.

In a statement, the production house wrote, "We are happy to announce that the shooting of Maara starring R Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath was completed before the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. The post-production work and re-recording will commence soon." They further added that they will adhere to the safety measures laid down by the government and keep safety as their top priority for their team members when they begin post-production work.

Shivada Nair is playing pivot role in the movie. Stand-up comedian Alexander Babu is set to make his debut in the films. The makers said there are other prominent names in Cast & Crew that will be a surprise factor, which will be revealed shortly.

Dhilip Kumar, who directed many ad films before is directing the film. Dhilip got fame from his short film 'Kalki' on Netflix. 'Maara' has music by Ghibran and Thamarai is penning lyrics. The film is being edited by Bhuvan Srinivasan.
