Karthik Subbaraj's 'Penguin' teaser is out, Prime Video release on June 19 [Video]
Keerthy Suresh's Penguin was launched today by Manju Warrier, Trisha, Samantha, and Taapsee on Twitter.
This multilingual will be premiered on Amazon Prime from June 19. It will stream in Tamil and Telugu on the platform along with a dubbed Malayalam version.
Directed by debutant Eashvar Karthic, the film's teaser was released by top actresses across the movie industry. Trisha Krishnan released the Tamil version of the teaser, Samantha Akkineni released in Telugu, Manju Warrier released the teaser in Malayalam, and Taapsee Pannu for the English version.
'Penguin' is a 'woman-centric' film produced by 'Passion Studios' and presented by director Karthik Subbaraj’s home banner 'Stone Bench Films'. 'Penguin' marks the third production of Stone Bench Films who previously produced 'Meyaadha Maan' and 'Mercury'.

The teaser begins with beautiful visuals of nature with lake and a waterfall, transitions to Keerthy and her son playing inside a glasshouse. Then wearing a yellow raincoat, the boy walking away with some one holding yellow umbrella and Keerthy yelling out his name. It's obvious that Keerthy's son goes missing. The next series of shots talks about her pain and the search for her son. The end of the teaser reveals a psycho with clown like makeup cruelly butchering a kid and a grabs eyeball, which was horrifying.
The cast of Penguin includes 'Mehandi Circus' fame Madhampatty Rangaraj and 'Sindhubaadh' fame Linga. Karthik Palani has handled the camera, Anil Krish on edit, art by Sakthee Venkatraj M, and costumes are by Pallavi Singh. While Santhosh Narayanan has composed music, Thomas Kurian was in charge of the sound design.
