In a recent interview, Kangana Ranaut revealed that 'Thalaivi' Tamil and Hindi digital rights have been sold to Amazon prime and Netflix respectively for a whopping ₹55 crore rupees. "The digital rights have been sold but the film will not directly release on OTT platforms as Thalaivi is being made on a massive scale for theatrical release", said Kangana Ranaut.
The actress says that besides the digital rights, the producers of Thalaivi are yet to sell the satellite rights and theatrical rights haven't been locked yet. She also revealed that she was paid a salary of ₹25 crore for the film as it's a bilingual, so according to the actress, it's a two-film deal.
