Vijay's upcoming after Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Master' tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, is said to be directed by AR Murugadoss.

While there were big names like Shankar, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Sudha Kongara and Arun Raja Kamaraj made some rounds to direct Vijay's 65th movie, sources suggest that AR Murugadoss is going to helm Thalapathy.

There were rumours last few days that Madonna Sebastian, who was last seen in Tamil in Dhana Sekaran's 'Vaanam Kottatum', is going to be part of Thalapathy 65. Manorama online suggest that the dazzling actress Madonna Sebastian roped in to play key role in AR Murugadoss - Vijay film, but not the female lead.

Some reports claim that Murugadoss discussed about the film to Madonna over a video conference and she was quite impressed with the script. Same report said, Madonna has been finalised for one the lead lady among the two.

The rumour quickly surfaced across the internet and when reached out to the production team, they quickly denied the claims. "They are baseless rumours. We will announce any new updates about the project through an official statement", they said.

Earlier it was reported that the movie is a sequel of the hit action thriller Thuppakki, but there were no official confirmation on that. Thalapathy 65 will be fourth collaboration of Vijay and AR Murugadoss after the super-hits Sarkar (2018), Kaththi (2014) and Thuppakki (2012).

The fans and film audiences have been waiting anxiously to hear any update about highly anticipated film. An official announcement regarding the project is likely to be made on Vijay's birthday, which falls on June 22.
