Thala Ajith is currently working on his 60th movie, 'Valimai' with director H Vinoth, produced by Boney Kapoor for Bayview Project LLP. Ajith has teamed up with H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor for the second time after the successful outing 'Nerkonda Paarvai'.

The shooting of 'Valimai' started late last year and the director has reportedly completed two schedules of the film which is almost 40 percent of the film. Ajith is playing the role of a cop, while Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi and Telugu actor Karthikeya are playing crucial roles in the film. The third schedule of the shooting is expected to start in August or September depends on the COVID-19 situation.

Meanwhile talks for Ajith 61st film, Thala 61, is going on per reports. Kollyinsider reported few days ago that director Vishnuvardhan is directing Thala 61, despite rumours surround that Ajith could join director Siva after 'Valimai'. It is said that the film will be produced by T. G. Thyagarajan of 'Sathya Jyothi Films'.

According to latest reports, the makers of the film decided to rope in actor Vadivelu for Thala 61. Said to be a commercial entertainer, sources say, initial round of talks are going on with the comedian. Vadivelu was last seen with Ajith in 'Raja' released in 2002. However, they weren’t seen together in any movies aftermath. It could be the Thala’s upcoming film after ‘Valimai’, Vadivelu and Ajith may share screen space after 18 years.
