As theaters remain shut for more than 100 days because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many filmmakers are choosing to release their movies directly on OTT.

Notable movies like Jyotika’s 'Ponmagal Vandhal', Keerthy Suresh's 'Penguin' released on Amazon Prime Video. Another major OTT player Zee5 released 'MaMaKiKi' and 'Yaadhumagi Nindraai' during this lockdown period. Next among the list is Varalakshmi Sarathkumar starrer 'Danny'.

Zee5 grabbed the OTT rights of the film and announced on twitter that it is going to premiere the movie soon on their platform, which reads, "A perfect suspense thriller that will send chills down your spine is coming your way soon! Watch #Danny a ZEE5 original film coming soon on #ZEE5! "

Touted to be a murder mystery, 'Danny' happens in and around Thanjavur. The film is directed by LG Sathyamoorthy who is an assistant of PG Muttiah.

The music for the film is composed by Santosh Dayanidhi while the star cast includes Yogi Babu and Vela Ramamoorthy. A dog is playing an important role in the film as the film also revolves around emotion between a dog in the dog squad and a Police woman while Varalakshmi is playing the role of a cop.
