Simbu is once again in talks with Vijay Chander for a new movie.
The movie finally went on floors after Simbu joined the team few months back before the lockdown. The actor was last seen in director Gautham Vasudev Menon's 'Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn' with Trisha. Latest news about the actor is about his upcoming film with director Vijay Chandar.
Vijay Chandar, who directed STR along with Hansika and Santhanam for 'Vaalu' as his debut film, is joining with the actor again for a new movie. 'Vaalu', produced by S. S. Chakravarthy under 'Nic Arts' banner, was in making for quite long time and released on Aug 14, 2015.
After 'Vaalu', the director made 'Sketch' with Vikram and 'Sangathamizhan' with Vijay Sethupathi. Both did not go well at the box-office. Meantime, the director is busy working on the script for his next film. In a recent facebook like chat, he disclosed about his next project. He revealed that he is going to helm Simbu once again.
Vijay Chandar said that the movie is confirmed with STR, and it is in early stages of discussion. It looks like Simbu called the director and discussed about the script before the lockdown. Vijay said the discussion is on hold due to coronavirus lockdown and he is working on the script. He doesn't want to reveal more about the project until it takes shape.
Vijay Chandar also revealed that he is having discussion with Vijay Sethupathi for another film. So we can expect some formal update from the team on which ever project materializes first.
Earlier, Simbu and Vijay Chander had worked together in the Tamil remake of Telugu hit 'Temper'. But for some reason the film was dropped.
Apart from Venkat Prabhu's 'Maanaadu' produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner V House Productions, Simbu has 'Mahaa' directed by U.R.Jameel. During this lockdown quarantine, STR's jogging and workout videos kept his fans excited. It should be noted that STR had a massive body transformation after he started working out for 'Maanaadu'.
