Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan had tested positive for Covid-19 and were admitted to a city hospital last evening.
And now reports suggest that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya have also tested positive for Coronavirus, while Jaya Bachchan has tested negative.

Earlier there seems to be some confusion on the test results for actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her 8-year-old daughter. Earlier today Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced that Aishwarya had tested positive and her young daughter and Jaya Bachchan tested negative - just minutes later he deleted the tweet. Meantime, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar said Aishwarya and daughter had both tested negative, news agency PTI reports.

However now, Aishwarya Bachchan & daughter Aaradhya test COVID positive in the second test. Yesterday, the first COVID test showed negative but today the second test confirmed both of them have COVID. 4 out 5 family members have COVID.

Abhishek took to Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers 🙏🏽”

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek tested positive yesterday and are in Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital. Jalsa, the Bachchan residence, has been sealed off as a containment zone and all residents have been placed under a 14-day quarantine. The other Bachchan properties - Pratiksha and two other bungalows - have also been sealed.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in the 2018 movie Fanney Khan, where she played a music sensation. She will next be seen in the highly anticipated Mani Ratnam directorial Ponniyin Selvan, which is slated for a 2021 release.
