Dhanush's ardent fans are awating the release of his upcoming film, 'Jagame Thandhiram' directed by Karthik Subbaraj. One of the busy actor in Kollywood, Dhanush was working on back to back projects before the lockdown.

Dhanush wrapped up the shoot of 'Jagame Thanthiram' just in February and the initial release date of May 1 has been postponed due to COVID-19. When Tamil Nadu government granted permission for post production for a while, the film makers resumed some work on the movie.

The makers earlier released the first look motion poster of the film in Tamil and Telugu in February. Super exciting motion poster with absolutely fabulous Dhanush has raised the expectation of this gangster flick.

Meanwhile, the makers have made big announcement about the movie today. The team has released a new movie poster in Tamil and Telugu and announced that the first single titled 'Rakita Rakita' composed by Santhosh Narayanan will be released on Dhanush’s birthday, which happens to be on July 28.

Santhosh Narayanan is back composing for Karthik Subbaraj, after giving way his last venture 'Petta' to Anirudh. However, Karthik Subbaraj will be teaming up with Anirudh again for his next film with Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram tentatively titled as 'Chiyaan 60'.

Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead in Jagame Thanthiram. The film's supporting cast includes Kalaiyarasan, Soundararaja, Deepak Paramesh, Devan, Vadivukkarasi, Chinni Jayanth and Ashwanth Ashokkumar. Game of Thrones star James Cosmo will also be seen in this movie.

Shreyaas Krishna is handling the cinematography who will also be working with Karthik Subbaraj’s next film 'Chiyaan 60'. Karthik Subbaraj’s regular editor Vivek Harshan taking care of editing. Karthik Subbaraj announced last month that the film will release in theatres when the world heals (back to normal).
