Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has been on a working spree during this lockdown and released a short film 'Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn' with Simbu and Trisha couple of months back, then a musical video featuring Shanthanu, Megha Akash and Kalaiarasan.

He is currently gearing up for his next movie ‘Joshua’. The director said that the team has ten more days shoot left for the action scenes. The movie was initially planned for a release on Valentine’s Day this year, but is currently delayed.

The director said “Joshua is the title of the film. Imai Pol Kaakha, is the tagline. As the title suggests, the movie is about a guy, saving a girl. He has to hand her over to someone else and there are issues in his journey. Does he or does he not succeed, forms the story.”, in a social media video. The video is followed by the clippings from the recently released single Naan Un Joshua.

Well, this short video from the movie has indeed got all GVM fans excited about the movie. ‘Joshua’ stars Varun and Raahei playing lead roles, while Krishna plays the baddie. The movie has music by Karthik and is bankrolled by Ishari.K.Ganesh, under his banner Vels Film International.

Gautham Menon is also working on two scripts, Vettaiyadu Vilayadu 2 with Kamal Haasan and a romantic musical with Suriya. The filmmaker will also be directing one episode in Netflix's honor killing anthology and Mani Ratnam's anthology Navarasa for Amazon Prime.
