Television shows recently went on floors in Chennai with limited cast and crew. Due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, the entertainment industry was brought to a halt for more than 4 months.

A lot of female fans felt disappointed because their favorite serials were temporarily stopped due to the COVID 19 pandemic and lockdown. The channels had to resort to either re-airing old episodes, while some even got its popular old serials back, to keep its audience entertained.

Now all set with newly shot content, the channels have finally announced the dates when the audience can watch new episodes.

Sun TV serials are favorite among women in Tamil Nadu. Now, as the Government has permitted the TV serial producers to conduct the shoot, Sun TV has announced that they are planning to telecast the favorite serials of their patrons from July 27.

Roja, Kalyana Veedu, Nayagi, and Kanmani will be aired from July 27 and soon, Chithi 2 will also be shown in the prime slot.

To compete against Sun TV, Vijay TV has announced that their hit TV serials will be back in action from July 27. Vijay TV have announced with a promo video on twitter with the caption: "Repeat Ellam Stopu...Original Ippo Startu" and confirmed that all the hit serials including Aayutha Ezhuthu, Pandian Stores, Bharathi Kannama, Thenmozhi, Kaatrin Mozhi and Bakkiyalakshmi will be aired from July 27.
