Rajinikanth's upcoming family entertainer, 'Annaatthe', directed by the Siva, is one of the most awaited projects of Tamil cinema.
Recently some reports stated that the film was dropped by the makers after media reports stated that the superstar has returned his salary for the movie to its producer, Sun Pictures. The production team has put an end to the rumours which suggested that the Rajinikanth is not dropped and asked not to believe in rumours.

The latest news update states that Annaatthe's story has been leaked on the internet. The leaked story also suggests that Keerthy Suresh, the National award-winning actress is not playing the superstar's younger sister, but appears as his daughter in Annaatthe.

Rajinikanth plays the most respectable man in the village, who is fondly called Annaatthe. Khushboo and Meena play the daughters of Annaatthe's maternal uncles, who use to compete with each other to marry him. But he falls in love with another woman and marries her. The couple is blessed with a daughter, played by Keerthy Suresh. When she grows up, Meena and Khushboo's characters once again compete with each other to get her as their daughter-in-law.

However Nayanthara's character is not revealed in the leaked story of the movie. While some sources suggest that Nayanthara is playing Annaatthe's wife and Keerthy Suresh's mother in the movie, a few others suggest that she is playing a different character in the movie. There is no confirmation from the makers of the film about the authenticity of the story.

Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, Vela Ramamoorthy, George Maryan, and so on in the other pivotal roles in the mass entertainer, which is scripted by director Siva himself. D Imman composes the music, while Vetri handles the cinematography.
