Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film’s teaser was released earlier this year, leaving the audience wanting more.
Meanwhile, the composer for the movie GV Prakash Kumar released a glimpse of 'Kaattu Payale' track from the film today marking the 45th birthday of Suriya. This song is written by Snekan and is sung by Dhee. This romantic song with hint of folk is an instant hit. The one-minute promo video song shows Suriya and Aparna Balamurali falling in love for each other, eventually getting married and the chemistry between the couple post marriage in the bakery, bedroom and market are very likeable.
Soorarai Pottru is said to be inspired by the struggles of GR Gopinath, a retired Army captain, who founded low-cost airline Air Deccan. Suriya is also bankrolling the project under his home production banner 2D Entertainment along with Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment.
