Like Kollyinsider reported, Vaibhav and Venkat Prabhu starrer 'Lock Up' is releasing on OTT platform, Zee5.

'Lock Up' is a crime thriller, written and directed by debutant SG Charles, a former associate of director Mohan Raja and produced by Nithin Sathya under his banner Shvedh.

The film has Vaibhav and Venkat Prabhu essaying the roles of a cop and Vani Bhojan playing the female lead role. Zee5 has now announced to premiere the movie on it's streaming platform from August 14.

The film revolves around a murder mystery. After a woman (who is attacked by three unidentified men) is found dead, the cops begin to investigate the case and three innocent people are charged for the murder under the circumstantial evidence.

Besides Venkat Prabhu, Vaibhav and Vani, the film also features Poorna, Kalaiyarasan, Abhirami Iyer, Karunakaran, Vatsan Chakravarthy in essential roles.

It was Sun Network’s streaming app SunNXT originally bagged the streaming rights and Sun TV bagged the satellite rights, but will not see the film hitting the platform. SunNXT is among the few streaming apps that haven’t taken the plunge into direct OTT releases yet, so makers opted out from Sun Network and signed the deal with Zee 5.
