Vijay Sethupathi confirms that he opted out from 'Pushpa'
Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who debuted in Telugu with Chiranjeevi starrer 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' was roped in to play the antagonist in another Telugu flick Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa' directed by Sukumar.

There were numerous reports in Telugu circle that Vijay Sethupathi opted out from the movie when Kannada actor Dhananjaya joining the cast to play the villain.

In a recent interview, Vijay Sethupathi himself has revealed that he has opted out of the project due to dates issue. The said that he met the director Sukumar in person and conveyed that he has call sheet issues and opted put of the film. The makers were keen to feature him in the role, but Vijay Sethupathi didn't want to make promises and later trouble. Vijay Sethupathi said that Pushpa has a very good story and he regrets missing it.

'Pushpa’s' first look poster featured Allu Arjun in a rustic look, which was released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Vijay Sethupathi has more than dozen projects in his kitty and awaiting the release of Vijay-starrer 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, in which he plays the antagonist. The first look of Vijay Sethupathi's 'Tughlaq Darbar' was released recently and received a good response.
