Actor-singer Mugen Rao from Malaysia, who is also the Bigg Boss Tamil season 3 winner is all set to debut as an actor into the Tamil film industry.

Mugen Rao participated in one of the most popular reality shows on television, Bigg Boss Tamil, grabbed everyone's attention and emerged a winner in season 3. Mugen’s popularity as a singer and his stint and the popular television show has earned him a lot of fans across the world.

The latest buzz is that the young and handsome Mugen will be playing the lead role in director Anjana Ali Khan of 'Veppam' fame. Anjana Ali Khan made her directorial debut with Veppam, which was produced by her mentor Gautham Menon under his banner Photon Kathas in association with R S Infotainment. This action thriller film starred Nani, Nithya Menen, Karthik Kumar, and Bindu Madhavi in the lead roles.

Mugen rendered plenty of songs during his stay in the television show, including his own composition, Enna Maranthe. Many cover versions of the song were done by the fans. Upon winning the Bigg Boss title, Mugen Rao moved to Chennai, scouting for roles to act in movies.

Reports suggest that the project will be announced in the upcoming days. More details about this project is expected to be out soon. This will be second film for Anjana Ali Khan after Veppam.
