Visual effects in Hollywood movies are the reason why more and more people are enjoying Hollywood movies beyond Tamil cinema.

Movies with great visual effects produce powerful entertainment for audience and used to captivate the audience in a way that has them feeling like what they are watching is so realistic. With the emerging developments of VFX, for the first time in India, a sci-fi film, 'Zathura', is being made with complete virtual production technology.

'Zathura' is a upcoming Tamil language film, is being shot for the first time in India in virtual production using real time VFX technology. Using “next-generation virtual production tools,” the technology manipulates real-time environments with startling realism, replacing green or blue screens with LED walls. In terms of technology and quality, it is a matter of going to the next level in the movie industry. This is the first attempt in Indian cinema and next step towards the future of film making.

Muthu Krishnan is producing 'Zathura' under the banner of Chandrampa Theaters. RJ Parthiban is directing the film with Pemil Roger serves as VFX director and Manikanda Raja handling the camera. The film will have music composed by Ratchakan Sridhar. Pradeep Jennifer does the editing work. Michael Raj serves as the art director.

The cast of the film will be finalized and list will be officially released soon. Celebrity cinematographer PC Sriram revealed the First Look poster of the film on his social media page to congratulate the crew, by writing "Happy to reveal the first look of ‘Zathura’ - India’s first real time VFX movie shot using virtual production.
