Kollyinsider earlier reported that the much-delayed 'Andava Kaanom' will be getting a digital release on the production house own streaming platform JSK Prime Media from August 28.

Written and directed by debutant C Velmathi, a former assistant of director Suseenthiran, 'Andava Kaanom' stars Sriya Reddy in the lead. The movie revolves around Shanti, played by Sriya, and the problems that arrive when she loses her beloved big vessel (Anda).

Meanwhile, the trailer of Andava Kaanom was launched by our beloved actor Suriya. Sharing the trailer on his twitter handle, the actor wrote, "Here's the trailer of #AndavaKaanom exclusively releasing on @jskprime from Aug 28th. All the best team!".

After struggling for the release of the film for a while, the makers decided to release it on OTT. The film was originally scheduled to release on April 13, 2018, and then announced two more dates, but the makers were unable to release the film due to various reason.

The movie also stars Vinod Munna, Arun Brother, Naveena, Ilaiyaraaja & others. Andava Kaanom is produced by J Sathish Kumar under the banner of JSK Film Corporation. Co-producer by VS Rajkumar, the movie has KGR Ashok as the executive producer. Music for the film is composed by Asvamitra and the lyrics for the songs are penned by Mathurakavi. Veteran music composer Gangai Amaren sings the title song, DOP is handled by PV Shankar and editing is done by Sathyaraj Natrajan. AK Muthu is the art director, G Suren and S Azhagiya Koothan are the sound engineers. Stills are captured by Charles.

The lead actress Sriya Reddy made a name for herself with her powerful performance in the 2006 film Thimiru where she played the antagonist again Vishal. Sriya Reddy also got huge accolades for her moving performance in the 2008 film Kanchivaram. The actress was last seen on the 2018 film Sila Samayangalil.
