After giving the super-hit film 'Nerkonda Paarvai', the Tamil remake of super hit Hindi film 'Pink', Ajith teamed up once again with 'Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru' fame director H Vinoth for 'Valimai'.

The shooting of the film is 50% complete before the lockdown and Ajith has instructed his team to resume the shoot only after the country gets back on track from the COVID 19 pandemic.

Produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios, reports say Ajith plays a police officer, and will sport a new look who also has a passion for bike racing.

The latest report about the movie is that Ajith repeats his 'Vivegam' magic in 'Valimai'. 'Valimai' is an action thriller and one of the three movies Ajith worked continuously with director Siruthai Siva. In 'Valimai' Thala goes shirtless in an action sequence on the climax, and fans went crazy over this scene.

Now it has been said that Ajith might go shirtless again in 'Valimai', for a fight sequence with villain Karthikeya.

According to the reports, 'Valimai' is shot on a never-seen-before scale. The movie is special because it's the 60th film of Thala's career. The source reveals, “The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it special for Ajith. The action scenes are stylish and the story is universal with a combination of action, emotion, family drama and thrill. Everyone feels that the premise has a Pan-India appeal.”

This film was supposed to release during Diwali this year. But due to the pandemic, the film will now release in the summer of 2021. Huma Qureshi plays the female lead in Valimai and Karthikeya of RX 100 fame plays the antagonist. In the technical department, Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music and Nirav Shah cranks the camera.
