Actor Ramarajan hospitalized, diagnosed with COVID-19

Actor Ramarajan is being treated at a hospital in Guindy as he has been confirmed to have a corona infection.

Veteran actor, director and politician Ramarajan, who ruled the film industry in late 80s and early 90s with his village style movies and songs, has been tested positive for COVID-19.

Sources say, Ramarajan has complained of having breathing problem recently after an AC mechanic had come home to service the air conditioner.

Now the actor is diagnosed with the novel coronavirus and has been admitted to the The King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research at Guindy in Chennai.

When inquired about his well being, doctors reported that he is doing well and the actor decided to get himself admitted until he felt better.

Relaxations have been announced in the corona curfew in Tamil Nadu and normalcy has now returned. But the corona threat persists in all but a few districts.

Ramarajan has given many hits during those times and was a bankabale hero among superstars during those time. He was not just a successful star for the town and rural audience in the State but also a successful politician representing AIADMK as an MLA, during the heydays of J Jayalalithaa. He is star speaker of AIADMK and has been serves as Thiruchendur Lok-Sabha MP.

Few months ago, there were reports of Ramarajan returning to film industry to direct a rural entertainer starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. However, there’s been no official confirmation on the same.
