Lyricist Pa Vijay tuned director with 'Strawberry', which garnered decent reviews upon its release and his second film, 'Aaruthra', got a mixed reception.

Now Pa Vijay returns to direction with 'Medhavi', a biggest directorial in terms of production as well as the star cast for the film. 'Methavi' has Jiiva, Arjun and Raashi Khanna playing in the lead roles.

Touted to be a horror thriller, the shooting on Methavi kicked off on Monday, September 14, with the lead stars participating together. The shooting began with a pooja.

Medhavi will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja with cinematography by Deepak Kumar Padhy. Arjun plays a role of police officer and Jiiva acts as an assistant director.

Jiiva was last seen in 'Gypsy' and his previous film 'Seeru', both turned out to be average grossing films at the box office. Arjun on the other side was seen playing key role in Vishal's 'Irumbu Thirai' and Sivakarthikeyan's 'Hero'.
