Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film 'Indian 2' with director Shankar, the sequel of the mega-hit film 'Indian' is one among the much awaited films in 2020.

The shoot of the film has been postponed due to various production issues and then because of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. Now the makers are all set to resume the shoot of the film.

Director Shankar and cinematographer of the film Ravi Varman are on a location hunt for shooting the film and was recently in Prodattur in Kadapa, Andhra and surrounding places.

Now the industry sources have revealed that the shooting of this film will be completed by middle of March 2021 and buzz in the industry is that Kamal Haasan has requested the makers to complete his portions by January 20201, keeping upcoming assembly election in mind.

Assembly election in Tamil Nadu is set to happen in April 2021 and Kamal Haasan, who owns his political party 'Makkal Needhi Maiam', wants to concentrate on his elections from January 2021.

Also, Kamal Haasan will be shooting for the popular television show Bigg Boss 4 from October. Though he comes on the show only during the weekends, it will be tough job for the 'Indian 2' makers to plan the shooting during the weekdays as the television show goes on for more then 3 months.

Sources close to the film reveals that major portions of Kamal Haasan’s action sequences are filmed using dupes and so it would be easy for the actor to wind up the shooting sooner. But Kollywood sources say that Kamal's limited availability irks the director, who is currently struggling to complete the film after facing multiple issues since the film was started.

Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar are appearing in important roles in the film. Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring music for the film, which is produced by Lyca Productions.

According to the latest developments, Kamal Haasan will be super busy with Bigg Boss, Lokesh Kanagaraj's film, and Indian 2 until January 2021. Later, he will shift his complete focus to politics.
