Dhanush's 'Jagame Thandhiram' new poster is out

Dhanush's upcoming film, 'Jagame Thandhiram', directed by Karthik Subbaraj awaiting release once theatres re-open in the country.

Initially, the film was slated to hit theatres on May 1, and then was pushed to August 27 but the release date was once again postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The makers are yet to announce a new release date of the film. Fans, on the other hand, are very eager to know more about the film. Recently, the first single from the film, Rakita Rakita Rakita was released and has crossed 18 million views on YouTube.

Today on the occasion of the birthday of leading lady of the film Aishwarya Lekshmi, the makers have released new poster from the movie to wish the actress. production banner of the film Y Not Studios on its twitter handle released the poster with caption "Team #JagameThandhiram wishes @AishwaryaLeksh4 a Happy Birthday !"

'Jagame Thandhiram', which marks the first-time collaboration of Dhanush and Karthik, has been predominantly shot in London apart from a few other places in the UK. This new poster features the actress somewhere in UK with a Knee Length overcoat.

Not long ago, there was a buzz that the movie will have a world wide release on a popular OTT platform. Later the producer of the film, S Sashikanth has clarified that this Dhanush starrer will only release in theatres. He has urged people to not believe in any rumours.

The film is touted to be an action thriller and Dhanush's makeover with an extended Madurai-style moustache has caught the attention of the fans.

While Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the leading lady, the supporting cast also includes Games of Thrones and Braveheart fame actor James Cosmo, Kalaiarasan and Joju George.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has a busy lineup of projects. Dhanush also has a film with Pariyerum Perumal director Mari Selvaraj titled Karnan. The first glimpse of Dhanush from the film was recently unveiled. He was seen wielding a sword. Dhanush, who was last seen on screen in Tamil action-comedy Pattas, also has a film each with directors Ramkumar and Anand L Rai.

Recently reports have emerged that the Dhanush is all set to join hands for a new project with director Pradeep, who rose to fame with the highly successful romantic-comedy Comali. Also, Dhanush is going to work with Vetri Maaran again for a project produced by Elred Kumar.

On the other hand, Aishwarya Lekshmi is working with Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan'.
