Ramarajan recovered from COVID-19, thanks government
Actor turned politician Ramarajan recently tested positive for COVID 19. He was getting treated for the virus at the King Institute of Preventive Medicine & Research in Guindy.

The 80s and 90s 'Makkal Nayagan' started showing coronavirus symptoms after coming in contact with an AC mechanic who came to his house for repair works. He voluntarily tested himself after having breathing issues and admitted to the hospital.

The actor has now completely recovered and returned to home. In a recent statement Ramarajan thanked the government and the doctors for the best treatment.

"The doctors and nurses provided high-quality treatment and took care of me very well. I thank Chief Minister Edappadi Ramasamy, Deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam and Vijayabaskar, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare at this juncture. I have recovered completely and returned to my residence. I thank my colleagues, politicians, publicists, and journalists friends who enquired about my health and wished me a speedy recovery", said Ramarajan in his statement.

Ramarajan was a famous actor in the 1980s, who got paid on par with what Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan were earning then. He was among the top heroes with many successful movies.

He fell in love with his co-star Nalini and they got married to her in 1987. The couple was blessed with a pair of twins.

The actor mainly played village-based characters in his movies. His bright coloured clothing and thick lipstick were among the traits which are still remembered up to today. He is known for his performances in 'Enga Ooru Paatukukaran', 'Karagattakaran', 'Enga Ooru Kavalkaran' and 'Paatuku Naan Adimai', to name a few. Ramarajan has also directed nearly 10 films and most of them were rural based drama.

Recently there were reports that Ramarajan is likely to direct Vijay Sethupathi in his comeback film. Touted to be a rural entertainer, the film will go on floors early next year. He is also working on a few scripts which will be announced in the coming days, per reports.
