Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who was admitted to a MGM hospital in Chennai on August 5 for COVID-19 has been under medical treatment since then.

The whole film and music fraternity along with fans have been waiting for the acclaimed singer fondly called SPB to get back to his normal health.

SPB's son and singer/producer SP Charan has been updating the fans and well wishers through his video updates on his father's health condition on a daily basis through his social networking page. On today's update S P Charan has shared some positive update in his video message.

In his video post, Charan said, "Today the 3rd of September is the fourth day of stability from dad's side. We are hoping that there will be a good news by the weekend. By god's blessings, all your prayers and the wishes of so many people around the world. I am hoping that by Monday, there should be some good news. I am looking forward to it. Thank you all and god bless everyone."
An hospital statement today read, "SP Balasubrahmanyam, who had been admitted due to COVID-19 continues to be on ventilator and ECMO support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His current clinical condition is stable. He is conscious, responsive and continues to show clinical progress. He is being closely monitored by our multidisciplinary clinical team."

The veteran singer had been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a week after he got admitted on August 5, after his health condition deteriorated. He was on ventilator and ECMO support since August 13 and is now slowly progressing towards good health.
