While fans are waiting for the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial 'Master' starring Thalapathy Vijay, which has been getting delayed due to the ongoing pandemic, Vijay's next tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 65' has started gaining momentum.

It is known that 'Thalapathy 65' has director AR Murugadoss joining hands with Vijay for the fourth time and the pre-production work is going on. While the official announcement was expected from the makers of the film Sun Pictures on the occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi, no updates were given from the banner.

Now the hot news is that the makers are trying to zero-in the title for the film and news making the rounds that this Vijay film might get a blockbuster superhit Rajinikanth's film title 'Thalapathi'. It is said that the team including Vijay and director AR Murugadoss have decided to go for the name after getting inspired by superstar's 1991 film with the same title. It will more apt title to Vijay's film, while Vijay is called as Thalapathy of Tamil cinema.

'Thalapathy' directed by Maniratnam is an evergreen blockbuster and still a favourite pick for movie watchers. The film also starring Mammootty, Arvind Swami, Srividya and Bhanupriya in the lead roles, turned out to be a critical and commercial success at the box-office.

Talking about 'Thalapathy 65', the fourth collaboration of the director-actor duo after Thupakki (2012), Kaththi (2014) and Sarkar (2018), D Imman is composing music for the film, Veteran writer R. Selvaraj doing the screenplay for this action-thriller.

It is expected that the official announcement of Vijay's 65th will come the title.
