Thalapathy Vijay’s latest blockbuster 'Bigil', released last year, directed Atlee under the banner of AGS entertainment was considered to be one of the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year and for Vijay himself with 300 crores.

'Bigil' was released on Deepavali 2019, Oct 25. The film has broken several records at the box office after its release. Meanwhile, video of Verithanam song, the hugely popular chartbuster from the film has crossed a hundred million views on YouTube. And this song was composed by maestro AR Rahman and sung by Thalapathi Vijay for the very first time.

It was the second single that was released from the album after Singappenney song, which has 68 million views on YouTube. Verithanam is the third Vijay song to cross 10 crore (100 Million) views after Aalaporaan Thamizhan, from 'Mersal' and En Jeevan from 'Theri'.

The song’s lyrics was penned by Vivek, which connected with the fans and it had interesting contemporary references. Cinematographer GK Vishnu and director Atlee made the video song a visual treat for the fans as it brought out the charismatic personality of Vijay in the best way possible.

The song is extremely popular among not just Vijay fans, but also little kids, who find Thalapathy's dancing and the presence of kids in the song, very attracting. Vijay was full of energy and performed the dance moves with ease, due credits to choreographers duo, Shobi and Lalitha Shobi.
