Vijay Sethupathi upcoming film 'Ka Pae Ranasingam' with Aishwarya Rajesh playing the female lead is getting direct OTT release on Zee's Premium VOD pay-per-view Service ZeePlex.

Vijay Sethupathi is playing the role of Aishwarya Rajesh's husband in the film, which is based on a true story. While reports suggest that Makkal Selvan is doing an extended extended cameo role, but some claims Vijay Sethupathi will appear for screen time of more than 70 minutes

Recently the maker of the film, KJR Studios, confirmed they are in talks with the leading OTT players to directly release it on streaming platforms.

Now the latest update is the Vijay Sethupathi starrer will be releasing as a pay per view movie on Zee Plex. Zee Plex is the latest VOD service launched by Zee Entertainment, as movie halls remain closed. Zee Plex will be available on global platforms, and on Zee5 globally from October 2nd.

Through the Zee Plex service, viewers can watch the film on multiple platforms, including DTH services such as TataSky and DishTV, at a cost. The films will be available at “an attractive (per film) price point,” Zee said. The price has not yet been revealed. 'Ka Pae Ranasingam' will become the first major Tamil movie to release in a pay per view platform and first Tamil movie to release on Zee Plex.

However, there is no official confirmation regarding the OTT release from the makers as yet. Written and directed by Virumandi, 'Ka Pae Ranasingam' was earlier scheduled to release in January 2020.

Touted to be an emotional drama, the teaser of the film which was released on May 23, 2020 and raised expectations. The film deals with the life of people in rural areas and the injustice they suffer from authorities on a day to day basis.

The movie based on a true story has script penned by Shanmugam Muthusamy while cinematography has been taken care of by Sudarshan Srinivasan. T Ghibran is composing music for the much-awaited flick.
