Few days ago, the director of Vikram's 'Cobra', Ajay Gnanamuthu on the occasion of his birthday stated about getting curious to work with the entire team soon on the shooting spot.

The team had to cancel their Russia schedule and returned to India during after the coronavirus pandemic. Now we hear that the team is likely to resume the shoot in October.

The latest buzz in Kollywood is that team Cobra is planning to gear up for shooting at the earliest and will be winding up with the entire production process before Diwali followed by two months of post-production. The makers have decided to complete the foreign schedule with the help of the green mat in Chennai.

Vikram, who had wrapped up shooting for Cobra in January 2020, joined the sets of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan in Feb 2020. Vikram is said to be playing a dual role in the film with multiple looks.

Vikram was seen in seven different looks in the first look poster and that has piqued the curiosity among fans. The film also has Srinidhi Shetty of KGF fame and cricketer Irfan Pathan in pivotal characters.

Miya, Mamukkoya, KS Ravikumar, Renuka, Babu Antony, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Robo Shankar, Kanika, Roshan Mathew, Poovaiyar are playing the supporting roles. While the cinematography is being handled by Harish Kannan, editing is by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Vikram also has a project with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj next. This film will see the actor share screen space with his son, Dhruv, who made his acting debut last year with Adithya Varma, Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy.

The makers are planning to release the film only in the first half of 2021 after the release of actor Vijay's 'Master'. The reason being, Lalit, the producer of Cobra is also holding worldwide theatrical rights of the Vijay starrer.
