Kollyinsider has previously reported that adult comedy, 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu' (IAMK) directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar is getting a sequel and titled 'Irandam Kuththuu', which will have the director himself as the lead.

The makers have released the first-look poster of the film and it has been criticized similar to IAMK. When 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu' was released there were lot of objections and brickbats from the family audiences and critics. However the movie made a decent run because of the teenage audiences.

Talking about the first look poster, director Santhosh says, “This is an adult horror comedy and I wanted to establish that through my first look poster. This is not a continuation of Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu ( IAMK) and has a different storyline. However, the genre remains the same. There is a lot more colour to this one, and story-wise, too, this is so much better”.

The film has been wrapped up during the lock down and has been censored with an 'A' certificate. "Yes, the genre is adult comedy, but I have not crossed the line. I think mine would be one of the first few films to hit the theatres first. There are no two ways about it as we are only looking at a theatrical release.”, he added.

"It will not be a direct sequel to IAMK but a continuation of the franchise. It will be the story of a sexy, horny ghost. We shot the film in China's Huinan County, Pattaya in Bangkok and a little in Chennai. Unlike the first film, half of Irandam Kuthu will be outdoors," says Santhosh.

"The film will be released in theatres. We won't be taking the OTT route as people would want to see this film on the big screen along with friends and not alone in their homes. Those who loved the first part are in for a treat and those who hated the first film are also in for a double dhamaka," he adds.

‘Irandam Kuthu’ will have the same theme of horny hot ghost and how couple of boys get trapped by it. It is said that the producers are planning to release the movie on October 23, 2020 or once government allows theatres to open.

The film has Santhosh in the lead role, along with Daniel Annie Pope, Meenal, Karishma and Aakriti. Lollu Sabha fame Swaminathan, Chaams, Motta Rajendran and Ravi Maria will be seen in important roles.
