It is known that Ayushmann’s critically acclaimed Bollywood blockbuster hit, 'Andhadhun'  Tamil remake rights have been acquired by Prashanth’s father, Thiyagarajan and it will feature his son, actor Prashanth in the lead role.
While the pre-production work is going on in full swing, now we hear some major change on the project. The film was supposed to be helmed by Mohan Raja who has now walked out of the project.

Sources say that Mohan Raja has been replaced by director JJ Fredrick who made his silver screen debut with Jyotika’s 'Ponmagal Vandhal'. Fredrick worked with Thiyagarajan in Ponmagal Vandhal and it looks like the director impressed the veteran actor.

Another report claims Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is being considered for reprising Tabu's role in the remake and talks are going on with the actress. If it happens, Aishwarya Rai is joining Prashanth after 1998 blockbuster, Jeans, 22 years ago. Aishwarya Rai is currently acting in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus, 'Ponniyin Selvan'.

The makers have also roped in Karthik and Yogi Babu to play pivotal characters. According to reports, Prashanth has lost around 23 kgs for his character in this film and the fans can expect to see him in a new dimension.

If all goes well, Ilaiyaraaja will compose music for the Tamil remake. An official announcement on the changes in the Tamil remake will be out in a few days.
