Simbu (STR) is all set to begin shooting for his next film with director Suseenthiran, which will be completed by Nov 2020
Like kollyinsider hinted earlier, Simbu is expected to join hands with director Suseenthiran for a rural drama, and the film is expected to complete before his upcoming film 'Maanadu'.
Actor Simbu, was last seen on screen in Sundar C's 'Vandha Rajavathan Varuven' and did not sign any new projects for a while. Though Simbu's 'Maanadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu supposed to start in 2019, it didn't go on floors until Feb 2020 due to issues between Simbu and producer.
Simbu has been hearing stories of many directors during the lockdown days, and impressed with director Suseenthiran's rural drama. While Suseenthiran approached several popular producers in the industry for the film, finally, Simbu's father T Rajendar agreed to produce the film under Simbu Cine Arts, and the official announcement of the film is expected soon.
Reports say Simbu has given a month of time for the director to complete the film work. The other cast and crew of the film are not yet finalized. The project is all set to go on the floor next week in Dindigul where a majority portion of the film will be shot.
Meanwhile fans of the actor are waiting to see the recent photoshoot pictures to witness his body transformation, since the star is said to have lost more than 20 Kgs during the lockdown for his political thriller 'Maanadu'.
'Maanadu' with director Venkat Prabhu might get delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions since the project involves a large number of stars. Featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is a multi-starrer and includes Kalyani Priyadarshan as the heroine, with SJ Suryah, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, veteran directors S A Chandrasekhar and Bharathiraja, among others in major supporting roles.
