Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections

With Tamil Nadu assembly election is just months away, the emergence of the furor, battles, controversies, allegations, and poster politics have been finding its place in the state within the decades-old parties and from the political hopefuls who are either new or yet to get into the arena of electoral politics.

Election after demise of Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa

Being the first legislative elections of the state since the demise of political giants Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa, the upcoming assembly polls hold significance as it would unveil the new and potential leaders of the state as the people would largely answer the question of who they think would be the replacement of the giants. This election would be the first state election for Edappadi Palaniswami as the Chief Minister.

New Star Parties

While the Chief Minister led ADMK has been hoping to retain the reign in the state amid the internal and external allegations, DMK has also been mulling to take over the power after a decade. Amid the Dravidian parties, the political grounds have been witnessing the entry of newcomers including actor turned politician Kamal Haasan. When one of his closest friends Rajinikanth has been on the silent mode in his political entry, Kamal Haasan has been framing his political strategies to give a tough fight for the Dravidian parties.

Besides Kamal Haasan, the fans of the actor and political hopefuls have been expressing their wish that their favorite actor should contest in the elections and such people are expressing their wish publicly through pasting the posters and hoarding the banners across the state to welcome their actor into politics and while the state had seen many such posters from the fans of actor Rajinikanth,  the state has now seen such political posters from the fans of Actor Vijay.

Vijay Political entry

Vijay has been in the fray of actors who is on the front of expectations to make the political entry in the state and as the assembly poll is fast-approaching, the fans of Vijay have been making the better use of the prospect to find some political space for the actor as the fans of Vijay Makkal Mandram had pasted the posters in some districts of the state in which they named the actor as the next Chief Minister.

Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar has apparently told that his son would be entering politics and his Vijay Makkal Iyakkam would be getting shaped as his political party. Chandrasekhar had publicly asserted his statement for many years and some of the members of his Makkal Iyakkam had come on to the political grounds after they contested in the local body elections in the state in the districts like Trichy and some of the contested candidates had won the elections, showing how Actor Vijay has strongly been present in their lives.

As the assembly poll nears in the state, the fans and members of his Makkal Iyakkam have been stirring the expectations after pasting the posters that Vijay is the next Chief Minister. The posters had grabbed major attention across the state and from political leaders and invited controversy as the poster compared Vijay equal to Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi and said that he would be the replacement for the giants.

The posters were pasted across Trichy district and when asked about the poster, the members of the Vijay Makkal Mandram said that the posters were pasted after getting approval from the leadership close to Vijay, and such posters will also be posted in the districts like Chennai, Madurai, and across Tamil Nadu. After the poster had attained major attention, the members of some of the districts had got a call directly from Vijay.

Following the call, the members from Trichy and Cuddalore districts had recently met Vijay at his residence in Panaiyur, Chennai. According to our sources, Vijay had discussed with the members about the political expectation and on-ground support and situation for the actor. Vijay told the members to carry on their works and asserted to them that they would be getting all support from him. He also had advised them to refrain from pasting such posters and asked them to carryout people related works. Through the meet, the actor had stirred the expectations that he mulls to overtake Rajini in entering politics. As the election is just five to six months away, the poster and Vijay's meet with the members had stirred expectations across the state and among the decades-old parties.

When we asked sources close to Vijay, they told us that the actor has no plans to contest in the upcoming elections. But only time can tell.
