On the occasion of Kamal Haasan's 66th birthday, the teaser and the title of his upcoming movie was released on Saturday.

This marks Kamal Haasan's 232nd film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which has been titled 'Vikram'. 'Vikram' was also the title of his blockbuster 1986 action adventure-film directed by Rajasekhar, starring Kamal Haasan, Sathyaraj, among others.

'Vikram (1986)' was the first film produced by Kamal's banner 'Raaj Kamal Films International', and the same banner is producing Kamal Haasan's 232nd film under the same name.The title teaser, released today, opens with Kamal Haasan in a kitchen cooking a lavish entree and hiding guns and weapons around the house. A montage of Kamal inviting several men including politicians and police officers wearing masks to a grand feast, and then unleashing a barrage of weaponry on them during the meal.

The filmmakers earlier revealed that the crew followed all COVID-19 safety guidelines while making the teaser. It is said that Bigg Boss fame Tharshan will play an important role in this film.

'Vikram' will be shot in and around Chennai. The movie will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, and is set for a summer 2021 release.
