After finishing Suseenthiran’s 'Eeswaran' in record time, Silambarasan aka Simbu joined the sets of Venkat Prabhu for political thriller drama 'Maanaadu' in Pondicherry.

After resuming the shoot for 'Maanaadu', Simbu revealed his charater name as "Abdul Khaaliq" in his social media post. Now the actor has posted a preview poster from 'Maanaadu' to announce the release of the first-look poster of 'Maanaadu'.

Simbu in his twitter post wrote "#Inshallah First look on 21 nov 2020 @ 10:44am" along with the poster from 'Maanaadu'. The poster has Simbu doing Namas in middle of a riot in some political meeting. The poster captioned "Stand for what is right even if it means standing alone".

After multiple hiccups, 'Maanaadu' went on floors in early 2020. Simbu was alleged for not co-operating, late for shoot etc. Once the project was dropped but later, differences with producer Suresh Kamatchi has been sorted out with director Venkat Prabhu's intervention.Maanaadu has Kalyani Priyadrashan playing the female lead, with SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, and Manoj Bharathi in important roles. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography is by Richard M Nathan and editing by Praveen KL.

The mass actor has gone through physical transformation during the lockdown and has lost all his extra pounds and look perfect. The actor also made a grant re-entry into socal media.

When the state government granted permission to hold film shootings last month, Simbu's 'Eeswaran' went on floors and completed the shoot with a month including his dubbing portions.

Simbu was last seen in  'Vandha Raajavathan Varuven'. He has Tamil remake of Mufti and Hansika’s Maha in the pipeline.
