While the fans and movie buffs are watcing the teaser of Thalapathy Vijay's mass entertainer 'Master' in repeat mode, the treaser video is setting records.

After much demand from fans, the makers released the treaser of the film for Diwali, which really made the star's immense fans Diwali a special day. Vijay fans rejoicing the moment in trending the teaser and hashtags on social media.

The teaser has been trending in not just India but in other countries too which reminding his fan base presence all over the world.

Vijay is one of the few stars who keeps raising the bar in terms of social media records. The actor breaks at least a few records every time a teaser or trailer from his film is released and 'Master' is not left out.

'Master' teaser has acquired more than 20 million views and more than 1.8 million likes in less than 24 hours. This is by far the highest number of views and likes for any Indian teaser in the first 24 hours.

The 'Master' Video teaser was trending in almost nine countries across the world including India, SriLanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Switzerland, Malta, New Zealand and Ireland.

The teaser has satisfied fans of both Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi around the world and they heap praises for the director Lokesh Kanagaraj with the entire 'Master' team.

There is no official annoncement on the release date yet, but it is expected the film will hit the screens as Pongal release in January. Film's producer Xavier Britto and Lokesh Kanagaraj promised that 'Master' will not have OTT release and will only come out in theatres.

'Master' also includes Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, followed by Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others forming the supporting cast.
