The teaser of most-awaited film 'Cobra' starring Chiyaan Vikram has been released today, January 9. The makers of 'Cobra' earlier announced the release of the teaser on the film’s music composer AR Rahman’s birthday, January 6.

Bankrolled by 7 Screen Studio in association with Viacom 18 Studios and Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, cricketer Irfan Pathan plays the antagonist in the film and KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty playing Vikram’s lady. The first and second look posters of the film were released in June and December respectively, featuring the actor in many avatars in the film.

The teaser video of the movie hints the story of the action-packed thriller. Tt shows Vikram as a genius mathematician who teaches underpriviledged students and Irrfan Pathan in the role of an Intelligence officer.

Apart from the lead characters, Miya, KS Ravikumar, Mirnalini Ravi, Robo Shankar, Mohammad Ali Baig, Kanika, and Babu Antony are playing pivot roles in the film.

The film’s producer Lalit Kumar of 7 Screen Studio is planning to play it on all theaters screening Thalapathy Vijay’s Master. To be noted, Lalit Kumar is holding the worldwide theatrical rights of the Vijay's 'Master'.

'Cobra' was earlier planned for summer 2020 release but COVID19 pandemic spoiled ths plans. Vikram is also busy with Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan", which also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Aditi Rao Hydari, Jayam Ravi and Karthi. Vikram is also part of Karthik Subbaraj's next, in which he is sharing screen with his son Dhruv Vikram.
